Licensed Mental Health counselor
Intake Coordinator

Roquel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the state of Florida. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of South Alabama, and her Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University.

Roquel is passionate about working with individual clients to explore and expand their view of themselves in efforts to more effectively connect with others and form lasting interpersonal relationships. She works to achieve this  by sorting through and correcting several unhelpful habits such as, negative self-talk, poor boundaries, and people-pleasing.

Roquel is trained in brainspotting, an approach that locates points in the client's field of vision to access unprocessed trauma stored in the brain. It is also helpful for anxiety, depression, self-esteem and unwanted behaviors. In using this approach in therapy, the client will be able to regain control of their mental processes and work towards managing triggers and other effects of trauma.

Roquel is also Hope Springs's intake coordinator for adolescent and adult individual clients. Roquel meets with new clients to complete intake paperwork and match them with the therapist than can best fit their personal needs.
